Create Connections - organization that deals with free professional training for people with disabilities and others'Protected categories'out of work - started a new course online.
A training opportunity that could help reduce the unemployment rate of people with disabilities, which in the EU is double that of the 'able-bodied'.
Moreover, the pandemic has forcibly cleared the concept of smart working and employers can thus, for once, remember the existence of Law 68 / 1999.
The last course organized by Create Connections aspires to train secretarial staff in smart working. The teaching includes the management of secretarial activities in the various technical, organizational and technological aspects. With particular regard to communication flows, the organization of work agendas and calendars, meetings and business trips, bureaucracy.
Course, in remote mode, is aimed at people in a state of unemployment or unemployed - between 18 and 60 years - who belong to the categories 'protected' by law 68/99. 4 hours a day, from Monday to Friday, for a total of 100 hours. the work, from many points of view, it is one of the main activities of human existence. In fact, it:
- affects people's quality of life, in terms of subsistence and economic independence,
- allows each individual to take an active role in society and to contribute to its development and development,
- contributes to the realization of oneself and allows the construction of social relations.
The work activity - in including economic, individual and social spheres - it helps to structure the personality and favors the psychological balance of people. For these reasons, work should offer adequate conditions and solicitations based on the responsiveness that each individual has, in the compromise between the demands of an organization and the subjective needs of people.
Such considerations at work they apply to everyone, including people with disabilities. An occupation helps people with disabilities to be independent, have a role as active citizens, increase their social capital and thus be integrated into society.
In fact, in numerous scientific studies on the work performance of people with disabilities have shown how they offer performance optimal, sometimes better than their 'able-bodied' colleagues (see bibliography). And yet the employment situation of people with disabilities remains completely disheartening.
Everyone aspires to get a job, precisely because working is an experience we prepare for during our life, starting from the school training phase. The low employment rates of people with disabilities can derive from a number of factors, such as the presence of companies with organizational cultures that are not very open to diversity.
The stigma of the 'disabled', considered a priori unproductive and ineffective due to their physical characteristics, is a real fact that overcomes the hypocrisy of pietism. People with disabilities on the other hand find it difficult to update training with respect to the changing needs of the market. We therefore thank Create Connection for the valuable training initiatives.
